Helene Monat
Co-Founder and CEO
Helene was the President of Catalina Marketing, the first data marketing company to leverage bar scan data at scale and one of the original behavioral targeting companies. While at Catalina, Helene led sales efforts, growing revenue from $2 million to IPO. Today Catalina has 1,200 employees in 9 countries and supports data-driven real-time transactions in approximately 50,000 stores. Catalina has been recognized by Ad Age as one of the 100 most important media companies in the world and was taken private in 2007 by Hellman and Friedman in a transaction valuing Catalina at $1.7 billion.
After leaving Catalina, Helene was recruited by Lazard Frères to turn around one of their troubled portfolio companies, MTS. As CEO, starting with a staff of five people just after the 2001 recession, Helene quickly grew MTS to $50 million in profitable revenue serving 200 pharmaceutical brands. In 2008, Helene led the transaction bringing WebMD into the firm as a minority investor.
Kent Wakeford
Co-Founder and Chief Revenue Officer
Kent has over 12 years leadership experience in digital and social media including structuring hundreds of digital media partnerships with value in excess of $1.25 Billion.
Most recently Kent served a senior role at Clearspring Technologies helping to grow its reach to over 330 million monthly unique visitors and develop one of the largest social media networks. Prior, Kent spent over five years at AOL as a Vice President facilitating relationships with more than 250 brands and resulting in revenues in excess of a billion dollars to AOL. Kent represented AOL on the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) task force to negotiate and publish the AAAA's industry standard terms and conditions. Kent currently serves on the advisory board of Watercooler, Inc., the leading application for sports and TV entertainment, and is an advisor to OpenX Technologies, the leading open source ad serving platform and network.
Will Luttrell
Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer
Over the past 10 years, Will has been a pioneering developer innovating on behalf of such firms as American Express, Dun and Bradstreet and the Better Business Bureau. He was an early open source advocate in the corporate environment and has a record of architecting technical solutions for complex, extremely high volume, mission critical functions using open source technology and commodity hardware. Most recently, Will led the effort at Connexus to rewrite the backend processing of one of the largest behavioral ad servers in the world while contributing to that firm's strategies concerning optimization, taxonomy and compliance in their core ad serving business.
David Hahn
VP Product Management
David was most recently an executive with Safenet's digital media services group, the leading provider of digital protection and measurement services. There he was responsible for managing the group's portfolio of digital asset protection services and transforming the portfolio to take advantage of the emerging opportunities in digital media distribution at major studios, record labels and publishers. Prior to SafeNet, David was responsible for the product management and product strategy for North America and Asia Pacific markets at MessageLabs, one of the world's largest software-as-a-service messaging security organizations. Before MessageLabs, David ran the product management and marketing for Mail.com, a consumer webmail service. David has worked with a number of startups and mature technology organizations and brings over a decade of executive product management, marketing and strategy experience to AdSafe.
Terance Kinsky
VP Client Service
Terance has 9 years of online marketing experience gained from joining Commission Junction as a startup and serving multiple roles throughout the organization. He left Commission Junction in 2008 as Vice President of Client Solutions where he lead product technology, professional services, and client support for the self serve CJ Access solution which generated in excess of $50M in annual revenue. Prior to his role as Vice President, Terance was the Director of Network Quality and responsible for establishing Commission Junction as the industry leader in partner quality and compliance. Terance was a key player in the development and publish of the Affiliate Marketing Code of Conduct released in December 2002 and updated in 2007. Prior to Commission Junction, Terance worked as an engineer for DP Technology and IBM.
Terance has an MS in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from Brooklyn Polytechnic University and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park.
Josh Attenberg
Director Data Science and Analytics
Josh is a Ph.D candidate in Computer Science at NYU's Polytechnic Institute. For the past two years, Josh has worked at Yahoo Research while attending NYU and serving as a Research Assistant the C.I.S. Department at NYU Poly with a focus on the development of applications for novel machine learning applications. Josh's area of interests include Machine Learning, Knowledge Discovery & Data Mining, Algorithms and Applications of Web Search and Statistics. Josh holds a Masters in Applied Mathematics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Bachelors in Mathematics from the University of Connecticut.
Matthew Scott
Director Business Development
Matt brings 5 years of highly relevant experience to AdSafe, having managed marketing communications for several iconic brands with two leading global agencies. Matt began his career at Publicis' Mediavest Worldwide, managing the execution of broadcast media placement for the Kraft business. In 2005 Matt was recruited to BBDO New York as an Account Executive on the Gillette business, managing the integration of US advertising initiatives across 30+ international BBDO offices.
Following the acquisition of The Gillette Company by Proctor & Gamble, Matt was tasked with investigating brand extension opportunities for the Gillette brand, shaping marketing strategy for multiple P&G new products launches. In 2007 Matt became an Account Manager on the New Balance business, managing the brand's global re-launch. Matt is a graduate of Tulane University with a degree in English and Marketing and an M.B.A. candidate from New York University's Stern School of Business.
Bryan St. John
Director of Finance & Corporate Development
Bryan brings to AdSafe a wealth of experience in financial and business analysis combined with a long-standing passion in new media and technology. Before pursuing his MBA at NYU Stern School of Business, Bryan was responsible for prospective venture capital investments in early-stage technology companies at ARG Capital, a private equity firm based in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Prior to his work in South America, Bryan was an Equity Research Associate on the Institutional Investor top-ranked team at Sanford Bernstein focusing on analysis of large cap U.S. banks and broker dealers. While at Bernstein, he co-authored a now standard white paper in the field, Institutional Equities / Searching For a New Business Model. In 2005, he co-founded Timbofund, a 501c3 organization that has raised over $1 million in funds for victims of Traumatic Brain Injury. Bryan graduated from Hamilton College with a BA in Political Science and Economics.
